It has been along week but my car is finally done. New body mods, new paint, new graphic, new rims, new body kit, new intake, new spoiler, and new hids in heads and fogs. There is still a little work left to be done and try to figure out where the left over parts go. I think I will post some pics of the parts that are left over and we will play a little game trying to figure out where they go. :rotflmao It was great to meet some nico members at extreme dimensions open house today. Your cars look great keep up the good work.

Hmm, can't say it's all 100% my style. The lambo tail is kinda cute I guess, haha... I love the black on the top and on the trunk, that's sweet.

I think the one thing that could be improved is doing something better with the grille, maybe blacking it out instead of all the chrome mess, or maybe it's just my huge disdain for chrome coming out? haha, dunno, good job though on making your coupe unquie.

i like da green but im not feelin the tribal design on the side... i think if you made the grill, staches, & rims BLACK instead of chrome it would look sick!!! & you could make the lip on the rims color match you car... but then you would needa buy a new set of rims to have the lip

So do you have to pop the trunk every time you need to gas up? and can you take a close up of the hinge system that was used?

I asked this question on his original thread and never got a reply. In that thread one of the pics had a shot where it looked like there had been some cuts made into the plastic piece on the side of the tail light that diverts water around it (not sure what to call it).

I saw it at the ED open house. The light is on a hinge welded on and it opens up with the trunk closed. IDK if you can see it in the pics but the graphics extend under the light and inside of the door jam's too, It was a clean paint job though.

The tail light hinge is a double hinge set up. Being as the tail light is rounded have to get the tail light away from the body to open. You have to open the trunk to put gas in. The trunk help holds the tail light in. If you put to many things to hold down the tail light you will either mess up the tail light or the hinge over time. The hinge is a stainless steel piano hinge welded together. The hinge is "glued" ( I don"t recall what was used) to the hinge and screwed to the car so you can replace or repair anything. I will take better pictures in a few days. I did not finish the car till minutes before leaving for ED's open house.

Holy f*** hideous IMO. This is without a doubt the most insanely ridiculous scheme I've seen in a long time. I was Just busting my friend's balls for spending 16k on an rb26 swap. He shouldn't feel bad after seeing this. Excellent quality though.

i really like it, it's not way overkill, very unique and one of a kind for sure. i don't know about the green on the inside of the car, i would have chosen another color but i'm likeing the rest of it

Excellent quality paint job.

I say ditch all of the chrome though. Get some high quality wheels, fix that grille and call it a day

Do you comprehend how ridiculously stupid your Altima looks?

I was looking at the pictures for the Extreme Dimensions meet when Ken posted them on NICO a few days back and saw this green alien of a car and was thinking to myself, WTF.. Now that I see this thread and who owns the car, I can understand it.

Quality work? Sure. But it's the kind of work that belongs on a '98 Honda Civic, not an Altima. Hell, for the amount of money you spent for the two paint jobs and the other junk you could've probably had a supercharger installed.

:facepalm2
If you like your car to look like every other one on the road thats cool. Me I like to be able to find mine in a parking lot........... From the moon. I can give two sh!ts what you think. The whole west coast, east coast thing comes into play some what. West coast style is different than east coast. If you could take the top ten show cars for the east coast and the top ten cars from the west coast there would be a some things that are the same. But you will see some differences. I know that my car is not for everyone. It's like Dangeris said "Very nice A+ for originality. As long as you like it who cares what everyone else thinks." So you see I really could care less what you think. But when you are just soooo rude It is hard to ignore. If you had put up pictures of your car and it was not my style I would not be rude about it. Your taste is your taste. But it must be easy to mod a car from behind a keyboard. I tried looking for you cars on this whole forum. But no luck. Can we say stock or next to no modding? Just my thoughts. So thanks for your opinion and have a nice day. :dblthumb:

I just think most of us are in agreement when we say the money could have been spent a bit better. It wouldn't even be so bad if the colors were different like gray/silver graphics on black or even a dark blue or white. The colors just clash, it's like sending a kindergarten kid to school that dressed himself and wondering why he has 1 pink sock and 1 blue sock and a shirt that is 5 times too big.

Things that I do like:

1. CF Hood.

2. Tail light mod for originality, but i would have done it differently, stainless steel hinge for starters. There's a reason why the filler neck is located where it is, so when you get rear ended it doesn't directly crush anything fuel related. More of a safety issue for me.

3. That you actually painted everything, even the insides of the doors, etc. Most people dont.. lol

Edit: just noticed, why is the trunk black or gray? ??

The welds are still raw and that is what is starting to rust. I still have some clean up and touch up stuff to do.

As far as safety goes. A number of cars from the 60's and 70's had the filler neck behind the license plate. The only car that had a problem was the pinto when it got rear ended the gas tank would catch on fire. You can have the filler on the front of your car and run into a wall and nothing would happen. It is the gas tank that you have to worry about. That is where all the fuel is. Has nothing to do with the tank filler.

If you look the roof is black as well. All the flat parts are black. Hood roof top of the trunk.

As for the money thing. Both my paint jobs are done by a friend. He needs work and what is a better way to advertise then to show off your work. So here is his work. I don't know if I can plug his shop on the forum. He can do more than just paint and body. He has done all the work on my car, other friends cars, and my families cars. He is a jack of all trades when it comes to cars, trucks, and suvs.
I still have a lot more modding to do I am not done yet. :naughty:
