Ive been looking for another Nissan for a while now that I had some decent cash saved up. It was time to move on from a grossly ugly seafoam green Civic that was slower than fully packed short bus. I was hunting for an S14 of some kind, something stock-ish, clean, all in working order. But of course everything has been raped and torn apart with a half a**'d way of putting everything back together. Either that or people are asking $10k for a 100% stock 97 LE with 120k (true story). So I decided to look in another direction with something alittle out of the ordinary, something different. Since I have always had a slight crush on the B15 Sentra, I ended up deciding on just that.

After a few misses, I finally found a good one. Its a 2004 Sentra SER SpecV with the factory sub option, but no Brembos sadly. All is in working order except an ABS light which supposedly came on a week before he wanted to sell it. But, he is throwing me the sensor for free in a few days time. I think there may be a worn sway bar bushing in the RR. Im also having a wiring problem to the aftermarket head unit. Otherwise AC is ice cold, interior and the body are pretty fresh, and no leaks at all. 93k on the odo and has not been beat as far as I can tell. Here are a few basic pics.

I have been reading up on the infamous catalytic converter engine destroying issue and I have a catless header already on the way, along with some Nismo floor mats since it doesnt have any. It does not seem to be losing any oil but we will see in 3000 miles. As far as the wiring issue, the front speakers and tweeters dont work and I dont think the sub does either. There are 3 factory connectors but the head unit only uses 2. From what I understand, the third one is prewired in for satellite. I also read something about butterfly valves destroying cylinder walls too.

Overall, Im pretty happy that I finally have a good running car, WITH CUP HOLDERS!. The only thing I really dont like is the plasticy sound of the shifter. It also smells like Olive Garden and hair gel from the last owner, but that is slowly fading. My only plans for now are to re-tint the windows, buff the headlights, fix the head unit or get a new one, get the wheel sensor and header in, and maybe an intake. Maybe a few Nissan/Nismo accents and was thinking about meshing the grille out too. Suspension might be later down the road.

Thanks for looking!
