So i got my 240 in the beginning of January. got her state inspected on the 14th. And on the 16th the aftermarket steering wheel it came with came screaming off in the middle of a slid. all 4 bolt hole striped out and pulled out the threads. NO GOOD! I never thought anything like that was going to ever happen. OO well So i cracked the intercooler and scuffed up the front end because of this....

And here is one of the steering wheel that came off.

I have replaced it with the stock set up. And i like it much more then that set up!
Now this is all due to the steering wheel coming off

So now that its scratched up like that i need to get it buffed out ;)
I have a friend that does VERY good body work and he has had about 2 or 3 240s in his time so far, so I think i can trust him to know what he is doing haha. I picked out all the body parts. Some are OEM some are aftermarket. I want to keep the car a sleeper but i also want to have some extra looks to her. See with the Volvo S60R you don't have really any room to play. there is one aftermarket bumper and there is 3 store's to buy parts from. Plus ever thing cost a arm and a leg!!! So i decided to go with a Carbn Fiber hood. I could not find stock fenders to save my life that were a good price. everyone wanted an arm and a leg for one fender so i decided to go with a aftermarket fiberglass fender set. It was a cheaper and they look sweet! I just hope they look right without the rest of the kit. I saw one car with them and not the rest of the kit and it looked good. but that was on a s13. so i hope this works out. if not ill just sell em!

I'm going to have her painted Satin Black! I think that will go really good! I have not decided if i want to paint the hood or not. I'm 95% NOT going to paint it but there's that 5% that is saying go sleeper with the hood!
I am also having my new 300ZX Z23 brake calipers painted red with black letters. and i am having him paint my wheels black also

they are 26mm calipers and the other 2 are in the box haha.
The guy i got the car from gave me today, a set of solid motor mounts. What are your guys thoughts on them..? i had 2 of the 5 motor/trans mounts in the volvo solid and all it did was create a bit of vibration. will the same happen when i install these.
Image
they look really nice and i would love to have them in there but not if its going to create problems.
I also had to buy head lamps for my car, so i got my self a nice set of some German spec lamps. i am really digging the super clear glass i will be fitting a H.I.D kit as soon as i get her out of the body shop.
Image
Man it is cold out there so i only took one out to take a photo of. I have both haha.

Ever thing and the car is going to my buddy tomorrow (Sunday) he is doing all the body work and paint work im super stoked!!!

And i just forgot!! My starter just took a crap! Oh well time for a new one!!
as the car sits rigth now i have 300HP at the wheels. which is a huge step up from my Volvo S60R. So right now my main concern is the body. But as soon as shes out of the body shop im getting a set 550cc injector, and the rest of the brake set up.
And once all the body work is done and taken care of i will be getting a tuner and getting her re-dyno tuned. and start playing!!

Possible, but stupid. It's really only for ZOMG factor. From a performance standpoint, it's like the Post Office on sunday, it doesn't deliver.

no Your cf hood should have a loop under where the tape is in your picture it lines up with the oem hood latch just like your oem hood

solid motor mounts increased response due to stiffer mounts = vibration nissans or volvos.
thats a personal choice i think really

if your worried about too much vibration just buy nismo mounts if you want something better than stock

Yea i know it has a latch hook. i just didnt know if i need them because some C.F hood i saw when i was looking they said YOU HAVE TO!!! RAAAA and i just didnt buy it. plus i just wanted to check x2.

Yea i really dont care about vibration is what i was saying. I just was wondering if it would give out a crazy teeth hurting vibration haha
so ok ill check them out and if i dislike i will sell them and buy NISMO
