Will your 240 beat a brand new 300c 5.7?

Not try to brag just saying that the Q has went around the new 300c before the 4" exhaust or 4" intake and has ran down a g8 gt.

The Q can move lol but hell if you have your 240 for that then the Q is a nice cruising car just to take your time and relax.

i have no idea... i just swapped in a stock-ish SR last june after owning it for 7 years, and it's kinda quick. My butt dyno says it's faster than the Q. The Butt dyno doesn't lie, ha. :shifter:

If the sr is around stock it's probably running mid to low 14s... it probably feels really quick because the stock Q is a dog with two legs

275/60r15s DRs still don't hold it... that's with going from a 25.75 tire to a 28!

How the hell does this thing still not hook- and it's breaking loose with the car de-tuned for the street.

Anyone have any ideas? lol

what kind of suspension are you running? I know stock isn't terribly firm, but i'm sure it's not well suited for drag launches.
What tire pressure are you running for the 1/4?
What tire temp?
Are you using a IR thermo to check?
Are you sure the hamster is securely in his wheel?
Does it burn when you pee?

Lol^ well I got it to hook now at 20psi and they dropped over a full sec on my 0-60 so I'm going to sell these and just get some 275/50r15s (26")

The tires call for a 7.5-9.5" rim. I'm running the q45 BBS rims (6.5") so the tires will fit under the car with about a 1/2" clearance on each side, that also guarantees the tires don't slip on the rim.

I was also able to get a best 0-60 of 5.7sec with these where as before I was getting around 5.3sec with having to pedal it. So the 275/50r15s 26" tires should hopefully put me into the 4s somewhere I hope lol

So you're running tires that aren't even the right size for the wheels? Your lucky they didn't blow up in your face during installation. If Ruglyde or any other tire lube was used to install the tire onto the wheel. Then your tires will slip on the wheel After inflating the tire onto the wheel. You can clean the top and bottom bead (inside/outside) to try and minimize the tire slip. The only reason to care about tires slipping on the wheel is for having tire/wheel balance.

I've never seen any tires blow up from the wrong size rims (not saying it's impossible) but I've never had any problems with running tires on one inch smaller rims.

And I got the vve working so I can run it tomorrow night at the drags.

Well the tires killed it off the line like I thought might happen.

60fts were avg 2.4
1/4 mile time average around 14.5 lol

But the mph!

I ran a 14.9 at just over 100mph! Making some serious top end.

Goddamn dude! She sounds awesome beastly, exactly the sound I'm going for. Is it all due to your exhaust? How can I also achieve this sound?!

Turn your vvt on :dblthumb: 0-60 jumps way lower from just this alone. The vvt only makes a difference after 6k and I know this from doing hundreds of runs and timing rpm points. + mpg goes up

I gotta say, judging from that old thread you originally started I was very skeptical about your times. Now with proof those are some impressive times you got. :bigthumb:

Thanks, the car just hauls a** at anything past 4000rpm, but the 28" tires affect the gearing too much to get off the line, it's just getting to 4000 that slows me down. Once I hit 4k the front end lifts, the back hits my stops and she moves lol. I know this will be a mid 13sec car with the different tires (26") and I can figure out what is wrong with it. Having a few issues right now (think my vvt springs are worn out)... But in 6days there's another 1/4mile so I hope to have all the bugs worked out for then.

I can't believe the mph I was getting. I think with a 3500 stall converter this thing will be low 13s or high 12s from all the time I would gain off the start.

I can't find any around where I am. Does anyone know what 3500 stall converter would work?

Oh and it beat a older street bike on the way to the drags lol I bet he didn't see that coming.

Here's a comparison of the Q vs a nova that runs mid 13s from the 1/8 to the end of the 1/4.

Went to a armdrop event.

The Q was working pretty good. Two videos.
The mustang is a 11.6sec car I somehow got him for about 70-ft, and the big block corvette guy got his a** handed to him by the Q. :lolling: he was talking pretty good smack, he just raced my buddys 69 mach 1 that runs 12.5s and lost but was saying that he was catching him. . I think he was a dreaming.

The actual 1/4mile this Friday have to get a bigger electric fan as the car doesn't get enough time to cool down. That's why my first runs are almost always the fastest or after I leave it sit for a hr.

There has to be someone on here that knows or has heard of other Q45s being drag raced right?.. I'm trying to find what is the fastest one known of, boosted, sparyed or N/A.

No, not really, even if mine ran a 12 flat that's not that fast. I'm thinking something around the 10sec mark, there has to be somebody lol
I've seen somewhere of one on spray running 12.6's so I'm going to guess there's someone out there that knows of one that's faster then that.
I basically want to know so I have a number to beat while I am still being N/A. And 12.6 is the quickest I know of..
With all the knowledgeable people on here I'm positive someone knows of a quicker one.

I finally found a calculator that seems pretty accurate from using different cars as well as mine and..

According to my mph in the 1/4 the Q is making around 403.2hp assuming a 20% power loss, planning on the mph going up a lot on Friday from my recent changes so it's more then likely 420ish hp I'd guess. I'm shocked at what the stock headers can do.

I come from the world of the great wun-oooz-fey (1UZFE) hitting a high 14 second quarter mile (which is pretty slow in your opinion) is fast from my perspective.

The Nissan V8 is truly impressive to me. I've already noticed that its faster in every range than my SC400... Even with a completely screwed injector and no upgrades at all.

So you took my question and put it in here where no one will see it.
Congrats, I'll stop putting up any more info then, I'm sure everyone else will be happy with that.

He's saying search for it (the fastest time slip). I've searched myself and came up with very little - I think a 14.3? I've also googled it, not much there.

I would guess this Q is in the 12's or 13's depending on tuning, tires and the driver (it has nitrous and has a 4.08 diff)

And that is exactly why I had a separate thread. I've already searched on here before and I know I have seen one somewhere else that did a 12.6.
And not to be rude but I don't want guessing either.
