well my light is back on again but when i went to autozone for the code check it came up as something that i wasnt expecting. It wasnt my o2 sensor this time. yay!! one problem fixed!! But it came up as 2 codes this time and I dont even know where to start to look to fix it. The first code was intermittent voltage to the fuel pump, and the second was that the vaccum bypass valve line was blocked or cut. Anyone know what causes these codes and where to look to fix these problem. I'll get the code numbers tomorrow and tell you the exact numbers forgot to bring the print outs to the fiance's.

Curious to know what the numbers were on those.

Purge (bypass) valve may need replacing. Could also be a bad ground. Any sputtering/stalling/rough idle issues?

Alright heres the exact codes,

1stp0464: The PCM has determined that the voltage signal from the fuel level sensor is intermittent.

2ndp1491: Vaccum cut valve bypass valve has failed or has a blocked line.

p.s. engine light comes on after longer trips and no performance issues are occuring just an annoying freakin light!!!

The bypass valve is known to fail fairly regularly. It generally causes no symptoms except the light.

Not sure about the fuel level sensor. I haven't heard of those going bad. Try the Nissan Online Mechanic section.

Replacing the evap purge valve should fix that code. I figure it's worth a shot to fix that first and see if it helps with the other issue. An evap leak could conceivably mess with the fuel sensor signal, unlikely, but possible.
