you really dont keep anything in your car?Rogue One wrote:Thinking of something along these lines...
I keep a lighter, ~4k in calories(nature valley bars, dried apricots), a rock hammer under neath my seat(never know when you may see a rock outcrop, annihilate any ice in your way, or break your windows), a heavy moving blanket, some fleece blankets, headlamp, mechanics gloves, and a leatherman ALWAYS on me, empty water bottle, contractor bag, electrical tape, first aid kit, and flares. In the winter I usually always have a go bag filled with ski boots, snowboard boots, snow jacket and pants, winter gloves, extra layers, helmet, and goggles, beacon probe, and shovel. If the worse comes to worse then i usually have a backcountry pair of skis on my roof rack along with 3 other pairs of additional skis so I have the capability of skinning out for 12 miles or so in a day. I dont venture out from the road system in my Rogue and our roads are very well maintained so there isnt much to worry about. This may seam a lot but I just leave that stuff in my car for when I teach skiing or snowboarding all winter long. What emergency supplies do you keep in your Rogue? While it doesn't get Arctic cold here in Delaware, I've often wondered about how the Rogue would fair as an emergency shelter. Sounds like I need to check http://www.rei.com/
Crazy, right! Given that I was a Boy Scout and should always Be Prepared, the only things I keep in my vehicles are jumper cables and a screw driver. I used to keep a Buck knife in the glove box, but it just began to rust from neglect.ImStricken wrote:You really don't keep anything in your car?Rogue One wrote:Thinking of something along these lines...
All I have in my car currently is one of these http://www.walmart.com/ip/Justin-Case-T ... t/19526665, a big LED flashlight and obviously my emergency lights (which I am going to add onto very soon). However, I want to be more prepared and I am going to copy many of the things you've got in those 2 vids!ImStricken wrote:HERE IS EVERYTHING I HAVE IN MY CAR EVERY DAY:

OMG thats so true and funny at the same time. i dont carry tools in my car. no really, aside from a multi-tool and 1 screw driver, i dont carry anything! i dont need too. i have never in 10+years needed tools while owning a Nissan/Infiniti product. that is, aside from a tire hole plugger kit. (now the various fords i have been forced to drive for work, is a different story - but i wasnt tooling around while in uniform - im so meticulous with maintaining a pristine and high-speed uniform, that the slightest stain or wrinkle- and I GET PISSED!, let alone grease from working on a car lolol)Rogue One wrote:Funny that when I bought AMERICAN brand cars, I had constant problems (got my first cell phone because of car emergencies). galls.com & qmuniform.com can be a great guide for you, if you plan on building a good level 1/2, first responder kit. you dont have to buy their expensive kits. i bought most of my stuff at dollar stores & ebay! i simply bought an empty Dyna Med Mini-Medic Level 2 First Responder bag, and then used the list they have here as my guide:followingnfront wrote:I want to be more prepared and I am going to copy many of the things you've got in those 2 vids!
Thanks alot man! I really like that idea about the tech bag in the car! I'm going to check into some of those ready-made fully stocked tech bags and probably buy that blue empty tech bag and transfer everything over... I'm currently out injured, but when I get back to work I can always stock up on gauze, masks, gloves, clings, etc.... Awesome idea!ImStricken wrote:galls.com & qmuniform.com can be a great guide for you, if you plan on building a good level 1/2, first responder kit. you dont have to buy their expensive kits. i bought most of my stuff at dollar stores & ebay! i simply bought an empty Dyna Med Mini-Medic Level 2 First Responder bag, and then used the list they have here as my guide:followingnfront wrote:I want to be more prepared and I am going to copy many of the things you've got in those 2 vids!

I like the blue bag you posted the link to, and I like the 2nd link of the full kit (first link was an empty bag)... I think I may buy both of those and just add to it over time... I was looking at full kits online, but to spend $150 on a kit that is only semi to my liking, I might as well spend less and start out with less and just add to it...ImStricken wrote:HAHAHAH NOW YOUR THINKIN! i did the same, courtesy of my patrol cars! hahahhafollowingnfront wrote:I'm currently out injured, but when I get back to work I can always stock up on gauze, masks, gloves, clings, etc.... listing stated: 10.5" W x 5" H x 8". i just grabbed a tape measure, and 10.5 inches wide is tiny in my option! it wont leave much room for visibility. im sure you will need to dump that bag just to get to the stuff on the bottom. i think you'll out-grow that bag in a month. So what do you think about a "starter kit" consisting of:

21" x 12" x 9"
i solute you. as a fellow prepper, i think you being prepared is absolutely wonderful! (i just hope your home is as prepared for "problems".)Qashqai wrote:Here is the proof of my obsession to personal security and my Rogue:
