Egr solenoid?

Ok i got my egr out And blocked off the pipe going to the exhaust manifold. I know the egr solenoid is on the bracket in the middle on the passenger side. Am I able to just leave that whole bracket off? Also what is the bracket on the driver side that looks identical?

IIRC, on the passenger side bracket is AIV and EGR, driverside is just to hold the EFI harness and maybe the PRVR solenoid. Not sure, it's been a while.
