Hello guys,
I was wondering why won't the headlights sold on ebay (Halos) work on an AC with stock HIDs?
I contacted Dangeris Lumenations, but I got only one response.. and I didn't get an answer..
anyway, do you guys think they're worth it? or should I stick with the stock HIDs?

If you really want halo projector headlights, you can just change your bulbs (I think you can use the factory ballast). contact DDM tunning and they'll let you know if you need a whole HID kit or just bulbs. DDM tunning has HID kits for I think $45... I've had them for like 2 years with no problems.... If the ebay lights fog up, just go over the seal with some silicone and you should be fine. I baked my lights, opened them, painted the inside black, and resealed them with silicone and have had no issues with fogging for 2-3 years now.

Correct answer: The listing states that it does not fit/work in altimas that came with stock HID's but they only say that because its the plugs that are different. Thats all.

You need to do:

A) Buy the correct plugs and splice them onto the light = Plug and Play

B) Cut the plugs off (leave some wire sticking out, and save for future use) and splice your headlights in. (dont forget the heat strink tubing)

Did mine last weekend and shoved my HID's in the carboard box.

NOTE1: DONT FORGET TO AJUST THE LIGHTS BEFORE YOU PUT THE CAR BACK TOGETHER!
I forgot and had to rip the car apart again

NOTE2: Dont put your HID bulbs in the Ebay Projector Halo's. Aparently it causes heating issues as the reflector is not designed for HIDs.

Changing just your bulbs, in no way, shape, or form creates the "Halo" effect. You would have better luck drawing rings on your headlights with glow in the dark paint :dblthumb:

It will not create the halo effect but it will enable the ebay halo projector lights to be used on an altima with factory HIDs. The OP wasn't asking for a write up on how to install halos. He wants the ebay halo projector lights but they're "not available" for his car. changing the low beam bulbs to H11 and high beams to H9 will enable him to do so.

I think we have a misunderstanding. If Mr.HacKeR would phrase the question more clearly we could answer it.

And as for "not available" for his car, I say again, THEY FIT PERFECTLY! Dont know how else to spell it. I changed NO bulbs EXCEPT the turn bulb. they got reused.

But Hussain says just shove HID's in the ebay projector.
If I were you I would read the 100 other posts about the Ebay lights.

maybe we're talking about the same thing and just communicating it differently to each other. altimas with HIDs from the factory use some bulb number (I forget) and altimas without factory HIDs use H11 bulbs. so the "turn bulb" is different. thats what I was talking about changing. and you said you changed the turn bulb right?

oh ok, I see you're saying not to use HIDs in the projector headlights because of heat issues. in that case, are the ebay projectors even worth it? lol HIDs without projectors should be much brighter then projectors without HIDs.

just looked in the other thread. turns out these lights are different then what I thought. Usually they make them to take non HID bulbs and you can just put a HID kit in. But these are different different then other ebay projectors I've seen for other cars.

sorry if I confused anyone.

oh my God... It looks like it needs a lot of work, and I'm not really willing to do all this work.. :tisk:

Thanks Hussain and sndtgr08 for the help!!

I think I'll just get the tailights and leave the headlights the way they are (or at least paint the inside azure blue :naughty:)
The tailights look photoshopped with the white Silicon sealant, any idea on how to cover it? Would tinting them be a good idea?

do not get the LED taillights or you might get this issue in less than a year, as I did

Seller was CTRusa on EBAY, avoid them as they won't replace taillights that do not work properly under warranty

I have the ebay headlights (which even came with a warranty so if anything breaks they'll send me a new one :D) and i also have the ebay tail lights. So far both of them are awesome and nothing has gone wrong with them so far. i've had the headlights for about 4 months now and the tails for about a year. For the headlights i simply switched my H11 HIDs to H7 bulbs, but i don't know about the factory ones they might be a lot harder to switch.

I have to say, I'm loving your headlights. Based on the information above, your car came with OEM HIDs? Did you do the conversion that sndtgr08 mentioned?
