I was in the process of changing out my spark plugs and about to do a compression check when I found out that several tubes were full of oil. What is the best way to remove all the oil before taking out the spark plugs?

Remove the spark plugs and do your "wet" test first :D

Probably your best bet is a small tube taped to shop vac, or pushing paper towels in there with something small like a coat hanger. Thin the oil with brake parts cleaner...

I just wanted to get all the oil out so I do not hydro lock the engine or mess up my compression gauge! Not sure what volume that takes to do that, do not want to find out!

A "Mityvac" hand vacuum pump (commonly used for bleeding brakes) would also work.
