I was talking to a Mustang guy down the street from a friends house, and he told me he had switched his fuel to E87 and had gained 50 hp out of it. Well his Mustang has the Cobra supercharged modular 4.6L so after its all said and done he dyno's at 517 hp. While the added hp would be nice what I really care about is that it burns as clean as race gas and costs about $1.25/gal. I was skeptical until I went for a ride, and well the gas seemed to do just fine. I've read some things about it and its looking better and better. He told me that all he had to do to convert it was change the fuel lines. Just wondering if anyone has tried this before or has any other info, thanks.

You also lose gas mileage, approx 1/3 less with a tank of that vs premium fuel. I.E. 300 miles in prem fuel = 200 miles with E87. Keep that in mind.
My friend did that in his z31. Went from Prem, to corn gas (E85). He had to have it retuned slightly, but other than that and the gas mileage kill, it had definite power.

See I wouldn't mind as much about the consumption, if it also costs 1/3 of the regular gas price. But the guy I was talking tosaid on his Mustang, the milage actually went up a mile or two. I just want to make sure I don't blow anything up. Thanks for the help. Anyone else ?

Good stuff, I was going to have a mail order tune done for the nismo injectors and bigger turbo, so I'll add it to the list of mods. Thanks.
