does is matter if the injectors are not in that particular order? or can any wire(except for the 12v) go to any injector?

Since it's simply dropping the current, no, it shouldn't really matter.

Many, older atleast, h*nd*s use dropping resistors also. If anybody wants to go and put h*nd* parts on their Nissan. They can be wired up pretty much the same way.

im sean i just joined this forum. i have been looking for a post like this forever! a guy refered it to me on another forum and here i am. i bought a s13 with CA swap and it has one of these DSM resistors in it. it also has DSM 440cc injectors. the reason i bring this up is b/c my CA wont start b/c it is not getting any fuel (or not enough fuel) at the injectors. j/w if maybe the resistor i have is wired up wrong or if its a possibilty the resistor could be bad. just curious. im somewhat new to the CA so bare with me i guess.thanks a bunch

This is for using a DSM resistor pack on the CA18DET. AFAIK, any 1st gen eclipse/laser/talon should have this resistor pack.

Okay so I scored a free set of DSM 440s, is this resistor pack nessisary for running DSM injectors? I thought you just swapped the o-rings, drop them in, and get it tuned.

it is required to have a low imped resistor, but it doesnt have to be the DSM one you can run the OEM CA resistor if you are currently using it.

all that matters is the proper juice gets to it........

If you're just swapping in the DSM injectors from your stock injectors, the stock CA resistor pack is fine.

This is for the people that don't get the resistor pack with their motorset.
