Alright another issue to overcome for the Spring. My driver side headlight rod is missing the bolt which connects the headlight motor to the actual headlamp which lifts the lights up and down. I for the life of me cannot find replacements online ANYWHERE. It's annoying that every time I must pop in the rod to the headlight motor and repeat after flipping the lights down again. However now it's so bad it won't even stay put. Any simple DIY fixes??....someone help! Looks something like this...

Any feedback appreciated!

find the bolt on the passenger side, remove it, take it to the hardware store and ask for help finding a duplicate, buy the duplicate, reinstall both.

If it's just a bolt, I don't see why it would be a special replacement part that anywhere would list online, it would be.... a bolt. Like an 8 or 10 or 12mm bolt or whatever.

If I remember correctly, that uses a double sided plastic heim joint with an adjuster rod in the middle. A lot of times one of the plastic pieces breaks as it gets older and more brittle. When I had pop ups, I broke one when a deer hit me. Find someone parting out an S13 (which should be easy) and request they pull one for you.

You could go to a junkyard to get one too.
But yeah, I'd suggest going to a hardware store and getting the appropriate stud/jam nuts.
I think it's M10x1.25... but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the feedback guys. So if I went to a hardware store I could definitely find something to keep that arm in place? I wish I could take apart the passenger side arm so I could bring the bolt to the hardware store. Perhaps I will try today. I will ask for a m10x1.25 nut just to see PapaSmurf.
