My driver side lock only works if I manually lock it. If I use the auto lock or key fob it won't lock. The dealer said it's under warranty but I thought it might be a quick fix. anyone have experience wit this? It's a 07 coupe if that matters.

If they are going to fix for free why even spend time thinking about it...

Take that and run...my back doors wouldnt open from the inside (lock issues of course) and they gouged me for $170+... I'm still figuring out the best way to fight it since my back doors happen to be between my front bumper and rear bumper (bumper to bumper warranty my ***!). Tampa is right-don't let that worry you-run it in and fix it and take their rental or waste an afternoon test-driving their newest stuff.

Mine had sweet advertising stickers all over it...and they charged me for BS. I should damn near own that dealership with my free advertising and for paying their electricity bill for the month...

I'm wondering if you had the child locks activated & thats why they charged you?

As far as locks not working with the remote, I always replace the battery first before wasting the gas & time to go to the dealer.

Guess we've kind of hijacked a thread but guarantee you it wasn't child locks. In fact, when I checked them the problem became more frequent. It was an 'on and off' thing for a while and then I played with child locks a couple times and it just got to the point where it didn't work anymore. Definitely not those being activated.

For this guy's problem-he noted it is also the auto lock inside. I say take it in and be good as new. Make a laundry list of any other potential items as well and just be done with it all at once.

ok Infiniti is great! The service guy called me to set up an appointment. No charge and I get a loaner car. I only made one phone call to my sales guy. Great service.

Hope it is the same way all the way throughout!

If it is...maybe I will have to drive down to AZ everytime I need service...

Have you removed any door paneling recently? Intalled any speakers or is there any way water leaked in during rainstorm etc.?

I just got the car. So I have not had time to screw anything up. Ha Ha jk. The dealer said it could have been a customer on a test drive that locked the keys in the car. He said if you use the slim jim and forget to reset the lock the automatic stuff wont work. Im not really sure. But I will find out tomorrow and let you guys know.

Everything was fixed. Covered under warranty. Got free car wash and they waived the loaner gas charge. +1 for Infiniti.

man now they charge 479 to replace a door lock actuator. My buddy had both go out the same day and he took it in to the dealer and they told him it would cost $479 each door. After almost having a heart attack he looked on eBay to find some and came across so aftermarket repair kit for under $50 each here's the link if anyone needs it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281397111236?ss ... 1555.l2649
