"The NICO ECU is simply a reprogrammed engine computer that enhances drivability, and should drop the Q45’s ¼ mile times from low to mid 15s, to high 14s. The NICO ECU gives 30HP proven on the dyno, and has no effect on fuel economy (it may result in higher fuel economy!) or emissions. The engine redlines at 7400 RPM instead of the factory 6900 (which is very safe and does not harm the engine). The best way I can describe it for daily driving is that it makes the dead spots in the Qs driving experience much less dead, and as you approach high RPM’s the car just pulls like a bat out of hell!"rustyt wrote:I'm In. no you cant tune it that way... You're going to need something far different.. This is basically a plug and play sort of thing for N/A VH45DEs.. Calumsult actually makes a flashable ROM that you can do what youre referring to in a stock ECU.nismo silvia wrote:I would like to know of tunning options on this ecu is it progamable like through a usb port???? I am going to run a single turbo settup on my 93 and am probably getting pretty crazy with the project.
I am not going to offer the 4 ways anymore unless people pay a hefty charge since it requires me to buy special hardware... 8 way ECU's were never offered to the general public as far as I know.ppastos wrote:whats the differnce bettween these ECU's and the nico 8 way ECU 'S?
will the price go lower with less features or will it just go lower?
I am expecting a 3-4 week turnaround time, which was about what Robert did when he was doing the ECUs..SUB ZERO CAR FANATIC wrote:How ya doing Wes? How long will you need it for programming? I know the basics of these things, but can you tell me the main differences between stage I and stageII verses stock ECU! Thanksp.s....how long are you doing the 90-93 ones?
