Has anybody here used a hockey puck for a pinchweld adapter for their floor jack? I have many spare hockey pucks, and I could easily saw a groove in a puck. Has anyone tried it? I have not, yet. How wide & deep did you carve the puck's groove? Is a hockey puck durable enough for this purpose, or will it just snap or break? I presume the puck will just sit on my floor jack's (5 inch?) wide flat saddle. Too bad the jack won't fit underneath the car, to jack it up (say) at the pumpkin or front axle. Do you use a puck as a jack-stand pad too?

I've never heard of anyone doing this, ever...hahah. Sounds neat.

Before my dad and I built a garage and installed a lift, we just used to use a piece of wood on the jack stand as we lifted the car. I'm sure a puck will be fine...just don't saw all the way through it.

I Just cut some thick garden hose down the middle to make semi-circle halves, cut the halves into pieces that will fit over the jack stand pressure points. It worked just fine got the M up on all 4 jack stands without bending the pinch weld.

My pinchwelds are bent at the mounting point...eh. Is there a reason why this is a concern?

I actually thought about doing cutting up a puck as well to use with a floor jack. Any recommendation on what tools to use to cut into it?

Best way would probably be to run it over a table saw with the blade set to the height of the pinch weld.
