Since I have the DVD player feeding the back screen and the Nav screen, I was thinking about purchasing a Digital TV tuner to catch news and football games from time to time while driving (for my wife and kids only while driving, right!). Biggest question I have is what kind reception will I get while in motion? This is assuming I am in an area that already has a strong DTV signal.

Just curious if anyone with some experience on this can chime in before I drop a few bucks on this.

Thanks guys!

Friend of mine had a boomerang antenna on top of his SUV and it was kinda crappy. He could get some channels in but simply driving past electric lines would cause static and such where it was pretty useless.

What exactly are you looking at?

This peaked my interest new toys?????? :naughty:

What are you looking for? Tailgaiting or driving local?

It seems like one of the pitfalls is the range. I am going to wager a guess that reception might cut out like satellite TV does in heavy storms.

Is this close?

I've installed a few of them. They tend to be good up till about 35 or 40 (provided you are in a good reception area) and then start to wash out. If you want to go all out, I installed a few roof top sat tv antennas that were AWESOME and awesomely expensive.

Some tailgating, but mainly for driving around town when we are out and about.

Yes Steve, that is pretty much what I am looking at, but I have found some quite a bit cheaper on ebay.
