I just bought an 04 g35 coupe and am wanting to put an exhaust on it. I was wondering if anybody has either of the exhausts and their opinons on it. Both exhausts look exactly the same and I can't find any differences. Help me out

they sound different, price is VERY different, and performance is probably different.

XO2 is good for the $$, HKS is very expensive but does sound way better

listen to some of the clips on youtube

i just installed the x02 exhaust and all i gotta say is that it is wayy too loud. i cant compare to hks cuz ive never had it but it is very loud. the differences are the extension pipes and the tips and the material the exhausts are made of but other than that, i wouldnt be able to tell the difference

Seriously... who has the money to spend $1000+ for HKS?

Same here, Canadian though, including shipping. I installed it myself though.

That doesn't include my Stillen headers and Kinetix HFC's either. I think I spent more on my exhaust system than I did on my first 2 cars combined.

I've done several exhaust variations at this point.

Motordyne is the best sounding/performance that I've used. I love this setup.

I have a Fast Intentions for sale. IMO they look better and sound better then the HKS or the XO2.

As far as looks go here are the differences

Image

There was a guy on a nother G35 forum that did a compleat write up on the 2. basically he said performance wise the XO2 made more power it has bigger piping then the HKS. Quality wise the HKS was better.

I have the XO2 on my car and the DRONE is not that bad, unless you are in 6th gear below 2,000 RPM's

The main concern alot of people have with the XO2 exhaust is the tips start to turn Brown. Now there are replacement tips made out of titanium that you can pick up off of EBAY.

Another thing to keep in mind these are both TRUE dual Exhuasts there is no Y pipe.

All in all i am happy with my XO2 exhuast, and will be even happier when i get the new Ti tips. Just remember the XO2 is a little louder but that is also due to the bigger piping.
