I have the 2003 Q45 and I am replacing the thermostat but I don't know if I bought the right thing.

I bought this from advanced auto parts.

I just noticed that the other thermostats on the website look different, such as this

So I don't know if I have the right thing.

Can you get a thermostat from an Infiniti dealer? Thermostats and radiator caps are two critical engine cooling items where I only use OEM. We've seen some horror stories with aftermarket cooling components used on Nissan and Infiniti cars along the way.

I would agree, OEM parts are usually not that much more expensive (in this case) and they're critical enough that I'd probably do the same thing. I also wouldn't go by the picture.

I've gotten the wrong parts from Advance Auto many times, for our cars (which are fairly obscure compared to Chevy/Ford/Honda/Toyota/etc) it seems they have a hard time getting the right parts. You usually want to bring the part with you and compare them, but that's not always convenient.
