Post

Hello,

I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have a 2013 G37X and it has roughly 12k miles on it. I know at 15k there is the scheduled maintenance. Can anyone tell me what is required to maintain the warranty? I swear they make it difficult. I contacted Infiniti directly, and they only referred me back to the owners manual. I had one dealer tell me only oil changes are required, and another that everything has to be done. If I could understand the schedule more, it would make it much easier.

I have no problem doing the work myself, but don't feel like dropping $500 on the service for a bunch of things that aren't necessary.

Also, when I got the car, they put me on the Schedule 1 (frequent) maintenance package. I actually driver 90 miles a day to work and back, all highway driving, so I'd fit in the Schedule 2. Is that something I can just insist on?

Any info on these items would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have a 2012 G37S and drive 100 mi/day. I have over 50k miles and all that needs to be done are oil changes which I do at the dealer. I used to do the oil changes myself but no longer.
I replace the cabin filter myself once a year and replace the two air filters every 10k miles or so.
Just change your oil every 3750- 4000 miles and you'll be fine.

That was sort of my plan. When I saw what they charged for the cabin filters, I had to laugh. So oil changes only will keep the warranty. Good to know!

Thanks

Telcoman stopped doing oil changes?!?!?!?! :wtf2:
G's gone...Zozo's gone.....Becki's gone.....Joe's gone....Biggie's gone.....I'm getting old.....I need a NEW MUSTANG!!!! :chuckle:

Sorry OP, Telcoman is right.
I do my own oil changes, keep a spreadsheet on each car (date, mileage, work done, etc...).
Keep all receipts for parts/oil and should be OK for warranty.
Also, Nissan dealership can do your tranny/coolant/other stuff cheaper...check your dealership website for discounts.
My nissan has a rewards card that accumulates $$$$ that I spend on parts.
Nissan normally gives me discounts on parts....the last oil filters cost me less than 6 bucks each.

I usually have the oil changed on a 7500 mile schedule in the coupe since I'm synthetic and 90% highway. Since I've been driving the Q lately it's on a 4-5k regular oil cycle. I do my own brakes, plugs, etc but let the dealership deal with fluids and such.
