I have had this car for a decade at least. Over the years I have had fun in it. I though lack of money but mostly procrastination let it rot away. It's sad really and I feel a great deal of guilt for what I have let it become and what I now must do. Like a pet who is suffering at some point you have to make the hard choice to end it. So if you have ever wondered how to chop up a car follow along!

There is something to be said for being the final owner of a car. Just knowing that the car will never go anywhere again.

True but when it comes down to it they can all be replaced, they can all be improved on. They're all going to decay. They're all going to break. And the vast majority of them will end up recycled.

TMS, I will take the silver one, or the starsky and hutch mobile. Either one. I am not picky. Look at them, neither one will ever run again if left how they are. Send them to a place where they will be loved and never rust, Alabama!

Oh, and please include that FJ20 thats sitting under that blue tarp.

Why did you have to cut it up?

Why not just let the crusher come take it away?

Just seems pointless to have to cut it up when its just being trashed unless you were trying to sell the metals for money or something.

the other two R30s are destined for the same fate. strip and cut.

I gave away my old R32 yesterday. It needed a jumpstart from the DR30, the old man has a good battery.

This car is butt ugly when you look closely and has all sorts of mechanical problems but it has a strong engine and the interior is pretty nice, no rips or anything.

Some young guy is getting it and he seems pretty excited and happy to put some BST into it to get it back on the road. The idea that this one will possibly get a new life makes me happy.

You do know that you have to pay to have a crusher take your car here...and it isn't cheap.

Probably cut it up so he could get a truck, throw everything in the back, then haul it off to a scrap metal yard for some Yennage.

And has anyone ever noticed that you never see TMS's face in any of his pictures. Even the one I posted up a couple years ago has him covering his face...lol.

The big mystery that is TMS.

Actually, no I didn't know that. I only heard that it was expensive to keep a car going beyond its normal life cycle but thought it was like here where you could have a end-of-life car towed to the junkyard and pay 50 bux if it didn't run and maybe get 50 bux if it did run.

How much does it cost to junk a car? I have no idea. In dollars please..

they recently made everyone pay a one time junk fee on all cars supposedly to ensure the cost of disposal would be covered even if the car is abandoned. With China's lust for steel scrap is big money these days and you can have cars picked up for free and often be paid to hand it over to a scrapper. The guy who is carting off my junk is turning a profit.

I sawzall'd up an S13 coupe before, it was a hell of a lot of fun. You just have to be drunk.
