My 2009 M35X (92K miles) needed a bearing replacement on one tire. Of course, the dealer just doesn't do the required work they hunt for other problems. Dealer dude recommends an "Oil Flush" and an "Emissions Flush" about $150 each. I told the dude to point out in the manual where this maintenance is required and then then he backs off.

Don't these guys make enough money that they don't have to sell scam services like this - very disappointed.

Good looking out for yourself!

One of the most dangerous things to an unscrupulous sales person is a smart consumer.

You went in with knowledge, but most people will not and will go for it.

Bluedevil,

Perhaps the best way to get even and put the dealership on notice would be to name the dealer and the city. If they know they are going to be exposed on the Infiniti forum, that may act as an incentive to clean up their act, certainly to any truly legitimate dealership that cares about its reputation. There is no excuse for this type of blatant money grab. Our cars are technically sophisticated. There are enough things that need to or should be done on a regular basis, without the dealership resorting to this type of old-fashioned hucksterism!
