Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) for EX35 US version

Hi guys! I have been using this VLEDS 2 watts 5000K WEDGE type LED for my EX35 as my Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) -PARKING LIGHT for my 2008 EX35.
Right, my 2008 does not have DRL like the Canadian EX35.

It is a bit expensive $14.99 plus shipping a pair, but it is worth it and last forever. If you have question how bright these LED`s are, check these pictures below.

And BTW, these 5000K Vleds totally match the H11 5000K Morimoto XB35 HID BULB color output. (My LOW BEAM picture below) Both are perfect white with no hint of blue or yellow color output-- zero!
VLEDS 2 watts LED on top inside HIGH BEAM headlight housing.


Parking light as my DRL - These are bright enough even at noon in Summer time.

I've thought about doing something to the "clearance" light to make it useable as a DRL. I like to drive with my headlights on most of the time. But since the EX has separate low/high beam lenses, it looks like you can use the parking light in the high beam lens and not have to turn on the low beams. However the standard 194 incandescent bulb just didn't seem to have quite the oomph I was looking for.

You wouldn't happen to have any more photos of the LEDs turned on with the low beams off during the day? Would you mind sharing?

Also, I was also thinking to go with a yellow/amber light for a bit of contrast with the low beam. I know that it might not be quite as bright as the 5K LED and could attract law enforcement, but I am wondering how it would look.
