datsun 260z Vin?
I have been trying to find the month of production for my 1974 260z. I checked the inner door panel and the door says 10/73.. does that mean my car is number 10 of 73 or it was produced in 73?? My question is because my title says '74.

No, it means that it was produced during the 10th month (October) of 73 making it a 74 model, also all 260Z's have an "R"LS30 vin number all other 240z and 280z's have a "H"LS30 vin number. The numbers following the RLS30 in you vin indicate the production number, my car is HLS3011176 meaning it was the 11176th 240Z made

Plus, going by those numbers, you have the "early" 260z.
