well guys i think my tps is wired wrong but im not sure...maybe why the car is not idling...uhm i wanted to know what is the proper voltage im suppose to see with the key on and engine off...i am seeing in the range of 4.39v and sometimes evern more and when i press the gas it drop down to like like 3.30 or somewhere aroung there...so what could i have done wrong with the wiring...cause it seems as though from the pics i am seeing i should have something like .44v or something like that??

yeah...you've got something wired wrong. what kind of throttle body/tps are you using? are there 2plugs on the tps or one. and what color wires are there for the tps (there should be 3 wires)

The sensor could be bad if it is not starting at ~0V and increasing to ~5V as the throttle is opened. Double check your wiring, but the voltages you are seeing are changing in the opposite direction so it appears the sensor is messed up.

there are 2 plugs on the q45 tps. one read forward voltage and the second i can't remember if it runs backwards or if it's just a wot switch. one plug is directly connected to the tps and the other is a pigtail coming off the tps. the other possibility is the tps is wired backwards. it's basically a potentiometer and can read voltage in either direction depending on the direction of polarity it's wired up as.

here's a pic of the tps so you can see what i'm talking about when i say 2 plugs

ooo ok ok...i got it figure out it was wired wrong but for some reason on my stock ecu that when it was able to rev...smh...also for some reason the most volts i can get outta it is 22 at best but the sad part is a while back the bolts to hold down the tps snapped on me so im holding it down with string "GHETTO"...on a good note i did get her to idle today but for some reason after i did my idle procedure and turned off my car IT WAS ALL GONE...i was super pissed off...but i am atleast happy she start up fine and everything

you need to get proper screws to hold the tps in place other wise it can move and voltage change. what do you mean by 22? the tps should be around .47 or so at rest and 4.5-.5v at wot.

as far as the memory goes. triple check the eccs wiring. if it's not done exactly right then it won't save settings. there's one other possibility....and it has to do with the original wire harness being wired wrong and having to turn the key forward or something. my buddies rb25 is that way. i will check with him today to make sure.

the .22 is too low. you should be able to adjust the tps to get it up to half a volt
