Hey guys, I've been searching the internet and the haynes and chiltons don't help much. I'm trying to put together a 94 pathfinder that i bought already taken apart. I know, I'm a glutton for punishment. But it's a nice clean rig with only 120k and I bought it for $350.
The haynes tell me I'm supposed to have a flat washer, a conical washer, and a nut on the timing belt tensioner. Well, all I have is a washer that is slightly thicker than normal with a very slight bevel on one outside corner. Is this the conical washer or the flat washer?
Can I just use a lock washer between the washer I have and the nut? Let me know what you think...
I'm hoping the engine is still good. I'm trying to put it back together in the hopes it runs, but even if the motor is bad I figure I can do an engine swap and still come out in good shape.
