I have a 2007 Infiniti g35 X , for the last two weeks my car has been hesitating between 1000-2000 RPMS.. Other than that the car drives good. Yesterday my service engine light came on with a code of P0171 .. I want to just replace the MAFS but I'm not sure if that's actually it .. :frown: (My O2 sensors and cat have been recently replaced) I have an extended warranty with Allstate but the last time I used it I paid 800 out of pocket so I'm looking to do it on my own . Thank youuuu

Sounds like you got a great deal on a warranty.

When I had the Infiniti Elite warranty on my previous 06 G35 everything was covered and I paid zero out of pocket.

Third party warranties are usually never a good idea but they are cheap.

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Good luck

Possible causes:
- Intake air leaks
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection

You can go to the FSM for troubleshooting steps (look for the EC.pdf for your vehicle): http://www.nicoclub.com/infiniti-service-manuals
