Any suggestions on main possible reasons for code 32? The EGR value is functioning correctly. I presume that the EGRC Solenoid needs to be replaced. Anyone had the same issues with their J30? I know that the code 34 is knock sensor which can be replaced easily. Should I get an OBD2 reading to actually pinpoint what the problem is? Suggestion would be helpful. Thanks!

Knock sensor can be replaced easily ???Are you sure your driving a J30 ?? The egr function is probably clogged tubes that run from the EGR to both sides of the engine mounting to the bottom of the Upper intake Plenum.

An OBD2 san wouldn't hurt. It would pinpoint the problem and eliminate any guessing.

Code 32 could be as simple as a loose or cracked vacuum line between the EGR control solenoid and the EGR valve. How many miles on the engine?

The next hope would be clogged EGR tubes, as mentioned by Yoda, and a bad EGR valve would be worse than a bad KS, that at least can be relocated.

Code 34 could be a bad connection between the KS and the ECM, or a bad KS. Keep us posted.

I purchased the knock sensor which i know that can be replaced easily. The concern I have is with code 32. I have an 1995 infiniti j30 with 150K miles. A friend of mines had the same code shown on his 1994 M30 with around 160K miles and replaced the EGRC solenoid which the check engine light went away. So I'm guessing that it would be the same problem/resolution.

I think you mean can be RELOCATED easily.

The KS is under the LOWER plenum. Not at all an easy job.

Can you give me some step by step procedures on what I should be checking on?

Example: 1st step check on this.2nd step do this......etc.

When the car is running, I've pressed on the the EGR value and the car studdered which I was told by a friend then the value is functioning correctly.

Should I be checking on connections/lines? If so what connections/lines should I be looking at? Diagrams would be great.

Thanks

looking at the manual, I thought it can be repalced easily but I guess not. My understanding is that code 34 knock sensor is not part of the check engine light but one can see/verify the code when a diagnostic is done.

What do you mean by "relocating" the knock sensor?

thanks, I guess I would need to invest some $$ to get an OBD2 scan to pinpoint the issue.

Thanks for the website regarding how to resolve code 34. Any suggestions on dealing with code 32? What steps should be taken first?
