I believe your covers are plastic. You might try using somekind of plastic polish(available at your local parts store) to see if you can clean them up. I haven't heard of anyone changing just the covers. You may also check e-bay and your local junk yards for replacement assemblies.

I was thinking about just getting some 02 lights for mine. I dont like the ones i have too much. There ok but just not stylish. I was also thinking about getting 02 tail lights. Shoud I get the tail lights??

I have trouble with my head lights also. they are dem just because they have a haze on the head light. When you scratch it with your nail it is ver ruff and feels like someone spilled some kind of car cleaner that was not supposed to get on plastic. Most of it is on the top edge of the tail lights. I have no clue what it is. I was thinking about trying to get it off with some products but I dont know what to use and what not to use. Also my little ruber seal has flown away while i was going down the road. The seal is not hooked on by any way to the lights so I have to make sure they are in perfict pos before closing the hood or it will just fly away as im goin down the road.

Mine is also yellowish. But the film just makes me that much more angry when cleaning. If anyone has any idea what kind of cleaning supplies to use the let us hear it please!!! Thanks

Hi guys. I have the same problem with my 96 I30. So far the only thing I've used that's worked (moderately) is RainX. It's meant for windshields to reduce haze when it's raining, but it also clears up the headlights about 40-50% Most of the auto parts stores have buffing compounds that will resurface your lights. I suggest using those.

Does anyone know if the after market Maxima lights will work on my I30?

The '96 Maxi and I30 look similar and are based off the same body style. I think the two lights would be interchangable, but I can't guarantee it. Here is a comparisson:

I may be wrong about the headlights, but I don't think they are the same. Even on e-bay they are listed seperately, with the exception of the Cefiro lights which I know require some modification when going on a Max.

Wax will just give the haze a temporary "wet look" and won't last. Products like Plexus actually remove the hazed plastic and gives a better quality finish to the lights. Lasts a lot longer than wax.

Is it from the injection molding process? As long as you don't knock a hole in the lights, I guess you could remove it and buff it out
