i just bought a 2002 nissan pathfinder. and everytime i put a burnt cd into the cd player it says error. idk what the problem is cause they always worked in my last car. can anyone help

Chances are either it's not compatible with that brand of CDR or it wasn't authored correctly. Back when CDR's really started to hit the mass market is when CD Player manufacturers got smart and tackled the compatibility issues many CD players had with burned disks. I'm not sure exactly when that happened so I can't comment on where in the timeline your CD player falls. I'd try to burn the disk again or try a CDR Music as opposed to a CDR Data disk if possible.

stupid question but have you tried a regular cd also? problem may not be with the disc but the typical error msg from the bose cd players when they break.

well, i tried burning a cd a few different ways, and then i tried a few regular cds, and all of them didnt work, the same message just kept popped up, so im guessing somethings wrong with the cd player.

Mine has never played a burned cd ever. It plays regular cds fine but nothing burned.

yea man you got bit by the bose cd player bug. there are places to send if off to get it fixed but most ppl just buy an aftermarket head unit.

well i just bought it less than a week ago, so maybe if i bring it to the dealership they will fix it.

It sure couldn't hurt to try. If they don't and if you want another stock radio, they are on eBay all the time.

Mine plays burnt CDs just fine.

What format are the CDR's? Try copying a CD that you know works. See if it will play that CD. I think you are trying to play a format your CD unit doesn't understand.

Mine used to play burned cds, and then every slot failed one by one 1 through 6.

Have an 02 Pathy as well. My CD player hasn't worked right, or at all, for years.This is a common problem with these units. I just use my Ipod by the way. Haven't bought or played CD's in years. I haven't bothered to try and fix it for that reason.

I'm going through the same issue. I have the Bose, and my CD player kind of works, but it skips bad all the time.

I have a warranty, so I may just get it fixed under the warrany. But it is tempting to upgrade to better system with Nav.

the CD player is horrible, but i do have to say the TAPE player is damn reliable XD.

mine will play burnt cd's but not mp3 cd's
