Hi all,
So I want to put magnaflow high flow cats and a catback on my 1990 NA. It has the stock exhaust right now which I believe is 2". If I leave my stock midpipes on (2") but increase the cat size and catback to 2.25" is this going to mess up the exhaust flow at all? or restrict it?
I was going to have a local shop cut the stock cats off to replace with the high flow ones. I would just tell them to replace the midpipes too but I don't want to delete the AIV's so I need the ports on the stock midpipes.

It won't affect it. My catback on my NA was a JWT Genie that's 2.5". I actually kept it when I converted the car to TT. You may want to consider adding resonators though, unless you like it loud.

Yeah the catback I want to buy is 2.25" and has a resonated H pipe so it shouldn't be outrageous
