cast iron or stainless?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

is there anvantage to stainless steel turbos compared to cast iron exept weight?

maybe i dont know what im talking about, but i have a t3/t4 from a diesel shop that appears to be made of cast iron, or someother heavy metal

uh...stainless stell should have a lower metling point, and I dont think its as heat resitant overall....(This is from memory of mechanical engineering..I might look this up...)

I dont see much stainless stell used in high temp applications,,,stainless is pretty mallable man.

stainless steel has lower heat transfer capability over cast iron. there's almost no need for thermal coatings or wraps. it's also more crack resistant.
