I have a 90 240sx with a ka24e with 113k miles and still running strong. i am pretty sure theres alot of carbon deposits in the engine and was wondering if there was anyway i could get em out. also if i did use some product would there be any side affects such as the product damageing valves etc..

unless you can disassemble the block, and do it yourself, hand it over to a shop for a complete port and polish. its going to be really expensive due to the labour though, thats why i plan to do mine myself when the mileage gets high.

Yes, seafoam works well, just run through brake booster line and let it kill the engine, do it a couple times, like 2 :) Leave engine to sit for like 10-15 minutes, plug line back up, start engine and let it smoke(its buring all the carbon off) It will smoke for about 15-25 minutes, but well worth it.

Back in the day (2years ago) when I was a Nissan tech we used BG products for cleaning out carbon. BG is the only chemical I have ever used that really worked but be prepared to pay.

THe brake booster, is that huge *** black thing that has the master cylinder sticking out of it. Take the big line off it and let the engine suck the seafoam through. The reason to use brake booster line is b/c its the biggest vaccum line on the car.
