So the other day I got home took a shower and got ready for work. I go out to my car put my keys in the ignition and nothing except my inside dome light and my clock turn on. Knowing that my alternator was going bad I bought a new one and changed it but Im still having the same problem. I cant crank it or even turn my headlights on. Ive triple checked all the alternator plugs and wires and cleaned all of the ground connections but still nothing. I just got back from autozone where I had the battery charged and checked and everything checks out. I have no more ideas and my poor baby is just sitting there helpless and dirty af
someone please help me so I dont have to borrow my moms car and have my girlfriend pick me up for our date tonight x)

Welcome to nico!

Take a fresh battery to it and then try. Alot of times a battery will get a dead cell which allows it to charge but not hold it very long by the time you get home its almost dead.

So get a new battery then give us an update.

Thanks!

But sadly Ive tried a few batteries already and still nothing and the batteries all work on the other cars
a guy at autozone said maybe the alternator isnt pushing out enough power for it but I dont see why the alternator for my car specifically wouldnt work but thats kind of what it seems like

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? Also did you check under the hood for the "eng cont" fuse? A couple of my friends blew that fuse including myself when I jumped my battery, would crank crank cram but no start, checked the fuses under the dash and nothing checked under the hood and found out that the "eng cont" fuse was blown, replaced it and started right up, hopefully this helps you and the simple fuse is the problem

Does it jump? How corroded are the cables?

I found the culprit!
The cable that runs from the fusebox to the positive battery terminal was mad corroded due to...honestly I have no clue what but it tore through the plastic plugs. I just tied it around the positive terminal and voila! full power to the car! So I went back to autozone and found some battery connectors I can use and now shes back up and running like before! Thanks everyone for your input :dblthumb:
I knew itd be something dumb like that hahah
