The first time I saw a candy red coupe I decided I wanted a coupe the same color. I now own a white vert and its gonna stay white but if I ever bought a hard top it would go red..

Here's an S-15 converted hatch I saw on eBay recently that has a true red candy finish.

And for comparison, my car which is painted in Ford Mustang Dark Candy Apple Red.I actually don't like this color as much anymore, and would recommend that you look into Lexus Matador Red Mica if you want a factory paint that yields a "candy red" type effect. There's no substitute for the real thing though, if that's really what you're after.

id totally vote for the Burgundy color over the super red looking one.

except im not a fan of having a sweet colored car that is the same color as a friends.

so i guess im still in the middle. subtle is better, dont get a color that jumps out to people of authority.

well i say dont get Candy because if one little spot messes up you cant just re-do thet one little spot. you have to do the whole car over again!

just my opinion. but go for what you want!!

Its not a real candy paint, its just called that for some dumb reason.

Also, if I had bad pics I would post them, my pics I posted were for color refrence. If someone wants me to shoot pics in sunlight to reflect how bad this paint is I will, I will also shoot pics under my moldings to show how much the paint has faded in the last 6 months, I almost take offence to people saying my car looks good in person because of the horrid quality of these paint products.

i sprayed a 89 hatch with that red candy, it's not candy and needs a bright silver base to look good, my advice is if you want true candy for low cost, you can spray base silver metallic and mix candy with clear and do about 2-3 coats, (you need about 3/4 gallon of clear to mix with the candy and about 8-10 oz of candy) top it off with 3 coats of clear...it'll look amazing if you can get the candy even
