So this is my new 240. I needed something more legit to get into the drift scene here in florida and my hatch wasnt going to cut it. That and I always wanted a coupe. Its not pretty but I think it will get the job done for now.

Its not to bad, mostly cosmetic and I payed 2800 for it, which was probably to much but I had the money so why not.

Well I bought it as a shell like 2 years ago and it was becoming such a money pit and it had some rust damage. So I thought why not just get a running rust free car.

Will do bro :bigthumb:

I think my radiator hoses are on backwards because I thought I saw somewhere that the bottom hose goes to the thermostat not the top

If I remember correctly that is true. The bottom hose does go to the thermostat, not the top. Although I could be wrong, I haven't had a motor in my car for a while to remember. >.>

Yeah man, it sucks. But (Not wanting to thread jack if it's considered that) I got the car moved to a different location (Praying I didn't mess up the driveshaft, don't think I did, won't know until tomorrow when it's dry) so now I can get some work done on it. :bigthumb:

No its cool bro I dont mind talking. It sucks not having a good place to work on cars. I 've been in that boat too. What do you mean by messing up your driveshaft?

On another note I' ve purchased all my cooling equipment. Thermostat, waterpump, radiator hoses, weapon r coolant tank, and dual altima fans. I think I'm going to just run switchs to the fans with a fuse in the connection. I dont know if its a bad idea but whatever.

The exterior is looking pretty ghetto as of now. Ziptied a oem front bumper on because with out it I had no blinkers. Removed the sideskirts and ordered a oem rear bumper. I ll probably get pics up tomorrow :dblthumb:

Well time for an update.

Like I said before I ziptied my blinkers on :gapteeth:

Image

Since my hood isn't aligned right and I have awesome bumper sag; I have a grille opening :squint:

Image

For the rear I used my hatch rear bumper. I know its not the same and fits like crap but I wasn't going to rock an OEM front with no sideskirts and have an aftermarket rear bumper.

Here you can see the great fitment :bigthumb:

Image

I also used a ton of zipties to hold it on

So as of now this is how my not so radtastic coupe looks. Love it, hate it, either way Rock ON!!!!

Lol well this is just a temporary fix. I dont care about the bumpers to much right now because the kit will go back on later once the front conversion is done. I need to figure out my suspension first though so it can slide better. I think my front driver side strut is blown.

The wiring seems to be messed up too. My headlights seem really dim and it dosent always crank right away. That and the wire harness in the front driver side wheel well has been contacting the tire. So that might be why.

Any suggestions?

Umm, relocate your harness? Common for low 240s to rub on the fender harness

Get a new battery, sounds like yours is crap, or at least get a shop to run an electrical system diag. on your car...takes 2 mins.

Take your bumpers off...the car looks worse with them on >.<

The battery is new. Yeah i guess relocating the harness would be a good idea. :dblthumb:

I think i'll leave the bumpers on and be street legal :gapteeth:

lol its just a quick fix for now
Im not into making it look good just yet

Right now i'm having a wierd idle problem. I think it could be the maf or a vacuum leak, because everytime I come to a stop my rpms almost drop to zero and I have to keep them up with the throttle

about the idle problem, did you checked the TPS? when i got my rsx, it wouldn't idle because some idiot at the auction lot cut the TPS wires.
