CAL240's Build Thread

So I bought a 1990 240 Hatch. I bought it for like $2000.





It is painted flat black... however this was done very cheaply, as you can see... the door sills and jams were not painted. the guy who owned it be for the guy I bought it from had it painted pink:



along with some pink interior:



And the sunroof is completely missing:



It has a KA24E in it with 90K:

So this will be a slow build, I will probably start taking out the interior while I'm putting away for and shopping for an engine swap. Not sure what I want to go with, but my goal is around 350-400whp, and I will most likely not be drifting.

But first things first...

Does anyone have any ideas for the sunroof? Putting in another is not important, I just want something that doesn't look like garbage and isn't mad expensive.

lol this reminds me of my post a bit. Anyways nice car man!! I'd go looking in junk yards or on ebay for a sunroof they are very easy to put on just a few screws, I cant think of anything else you could do and it still look clean. And god who went spent all that time making that thing look so fruity... First thing is first I don't care how get all that purple off.

hahaha i know right? and from the looks of it, he spent a good amount on it too

yeah I need to find me some salvage yards... I saw one on ebay for like $150 i think

There's nothing wrong with pink, or with black.

But that was done like crap. What jerks.

I don't think that particular black paint is a step up from pink, at all, if it was well done pink.

yeah i'm not opposed to pink... and from what I can tell, this was once a very clean looking car. Makes me sad to think that someone ruined it
