My 90 cuts out at 112. Been there way too often. Im gonna wait till i rebuild the engine before i have the ECU retuned. That would remove the limiter tho.

Bypassing the Governor is easy. It's the Mayor you have to worry about.

Seriously, the automatic 240s don't have a limiter, so you can use an auto ECU, however you'll trip a few codes in doing that. You can also clip the 5th gear sensor, along with the VSS wire, but this will again throw codes. I have a friend that just runs his through a DPDT switch, when he's racing he flips it on just long enough to break the limit. The ECU only stores a code after seeing a fault twice. The best option though is the JWT ECU.

i have a 1990 240SX fast back (180SX) and the person who had the car before me had a stand alone fuel management system, but now that it is at stock leven sometimes my car will cut fuel at a little over 100mph but i have got it past the 115mph displayed speed so i dont know if there is a governer problem or the stock fuel management is messed up, if anyone has and idea for me let me know you can hit me up on yahoo or AIM at with the02papi. thanks holla back

Ive seen low 130's in my 1995 nissan 240. I thought the govenor kicked in at 135? i was next to my friend with a supra. He told me i he was doing around 130-135 also, since the 240 speedometor stops at 120 im going more accuratly of what he told me, but the needle was burried past the 120 mark....

Jim wolf? Better get a junk yard computer. Takes them up to six months. What you can do is try is try an Apex RSM, it may cut the signal. Just to let you know.
