My mom is riding a 1k+cc Kawa right now and is not happy with how heavy and big the bike is so My dad brother and I are building her a rat bike from an old Honda shadow frame, and a 2000 Honda 600 (stroked to 4.5 Inch) motor. My dad is a bike builder so he cleaned up most of the wiring, and installed a new mono shock a few days ago and yesterday we made some good progress, cleaned up the wiring in the battery box area, sprayed the frame, got the motor in, re-wired the stater (clips didnt match up), then mocked up the pipes and fenders (cuz she wanted us to LOL)

Mocking up the fenders (There was a lot of custom work done to the rear fender by my Dad. He cut, shortened, and droped the back fender support for a more agressive look, also we removed the middle support with plans of tucking a small tail light up under the fender.) BTW these are nice fiberglass fenders cutting down alot on weight.)

Looks dam good for a Honda huh?

Im gonna try to document as much of the build as I can, especially becuase my dad isnt a spring chicken anymore, and this is probably the last bike we will be building togethor. It means alot to me to still have my parents and be able to spend this kinda time with them.

We are gonna be taking the front end apart next for a new wheel we got her yesterday. Nice chrome spokes. Also gonna replace the old rusty sproket on the rear. From there its is just alot of wiring (head light, tail light, blinkers, horn, ignition,) Still need to get the throttle and brakes on and functioning. And still got some work to do to that back fender support and the fender its self. I tried to talk the ole man into shootin some eather in the carb (thank god the 2000 model only has one), hooking up a jumper my uncle has and firing her up, but of course the ole man just looks at me and says "patience son".

Why you hate being from the south. I love it down here. Hotter the better for me.

Leaving the fenders off would be cool and was actually a suggestion i made but sense its my mammas bike her word is law on this one. (trying to talk her into letting us put a head from a 700 cc on right now)
Thanks for the kind words, glad you guys are interested. Will try to keep this updated as much as possible.
