Hi everybody, I have a 93 Q45 and the drivers seat has stopped working. The seat will not move back and forth and the memory setting lights do not light up either. The steering wheel does move though with no problem. I tried swapping out the switches, however it did not fix the problem. Anybody experience this before?

I wonder if you don't have a burnt out fuse somewhere or is a connection has come undone.
Take a peek at the factory service manual link in my signature. You should be able to find your year and model and investigate what makes the seat work from there.

When you press the switch, can you hear a faint "click" under the seat? I've seen a couple instances where the motors either fail or get stuck.. Did you notice anything funny before it stopped working, or did it work fine one day then the next day it didn't?

If you have a little more history, I can dig into the wiring diagrams and help figure out what's causing it...

Awesome, thanks for the help! The previous owner said it just stopped working one day. There seems to be no power going to the seat or the switches at all. I tried replacing the switch panel but it still made no difference.

Any luck on possible resolutions?

check your fuses. if not a fuse, then you have a broken wire in the door jam possibly.
