Is there a brembo brake kit for the 2006 Infiniti M35 Sport? : I've used the search bar and all, with no conclusive results.

Brembo has never made a kit for the M.

Let me rephrase that: Is there any Brembo brake kit that is compatible with the Infiniti M?

Why Brembo? Just curious there are planty other companies making as good as Brembo.

Try AP racing or Endless they both have good brakes. ot sure if they have any for M. Can't hurt to ask.

*****Edit***** just checked it they do make a 6 piston brake set for M.

I can't vouch for their quality as I've never used them, but they do offer a big brake kit for the M

Why Brembo? Why not any big brake kit? Wilwood? Alcon? Baer? Stoptech?

Why do you need larger brakes? Do you track the car? What tires are on the car?

Sounds like you just want a certain brand name to pimp out the car, not to get fade free, increased braking capacity.

Right?

I have also searched for a brake kit, the most relevant search comes up with AP racing sold by Stillen.com. I believe Brembo's calipers would be too wide for our wheels offset.

I guess if you have the money to piss away, then why not. The same goes for changing out your wheels.

Question, is the OEM brake setup ok for most driving situations or what benefit does an aftermarket slotted rotors/calipers bring to the stopping power or our cars?

Slotted or drilled rotors are supposed to reduce fade after repeated stops, due to allowing quick and easy escape routes for high temperature gasses (heat) generated during braking (friction between pad and rotor).

Not the same as BBK though, which are designed to increase clamping power through the use of multiple pistons and larger sweeping area, and reduce fade by increase the size and mass of the rotor, to help it dissipate heat better.

The OEM brake system might be ok.........lets stop there. Who wants just ok brakes? The OEM brakes are not that great in terms of dissipating heat. My rotors already needed to be resurfaced at 18,000mi due to warped front rotors. Nissan seems to have a quality issue with the materials they use for their brake rotors. If I'm not mistaken, the first 2-3 yr model Titans had quite a few front brake problems. Low mileage trucks with warped front rotors was one of them.

So to answer your question, they are adequate, but could really use a rotor upgrade for the most part.

I had Brembo on my 2004 G35 Coupe and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone as an alternative for a performance brake system. They were just plain awful and extremely expensive to perform a brake job on.

unfortunately willwood and stop-tech don't make BBKs for the M.

But others do: Sessions, Endless, Mode Parfume, and like the others have said the AP Racing and Rotoras.

Also the new G37 Akebono brakes is another option to keep Infiniti OEM products on the M.

While I agree that the OEM brakes are 'ok", I would have no problem doing an upgrade to the stock calipers and rotors up front.

Brembo makes a kit for Ings Fuga. You can special order it but it will cost you 7K.

They look really good and they work good too.

If not mistaken riverside infiniti were selling them for less than 2k.

The Akebono brakes would be a good option. I've heard nothing but rave reviews about them on the G37 PLUS when it comes time for a brake job you don't have to replace pads AND rotors to the tune of another $2K.
