I have 280zx front brakes and stock in the rear I upgraded my master cylinder to 15/16 280zx. Now after installing my master cylinder I noticed that my brake pedal feels higher than it was before. My main problem is that when driving I can feel my brakes starting to lock up and I have to pull over and bleed off of one caliper to release the pressure or locking feeling.I am going crazy not being able to figure it out. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong??

Posting for my buddy.

Sounds like the calipers are going bad....might be something do with the master though. I'm unsure.

Most likely, your calipers need to be rebuilt. My guess is that once the car has been driven for a while, the calipers release? I had the same issue with an old Miata I had and once I rebuilt piston seals/rings, flushed the system, and added new brake fluid, the car was good to go.

in what car? when you put the 280 zx master in the s30, you have to adjust the pistosn the engages the master, pull the master off, and look at the pushrod coming out of your boster, and look at how far intot he master the pocket for it is, then look at the depth fo the pocket in your old master, it's a PITA to do on the car especially if it's rusty like mine was

also might want to adjust the clevis at the pedal once you get done

Just changed the clutch in my Nissan 2005 350z, and now the brakes keep locking up on me. Can some please tell me what is going on? Thank you in advance

You might want to post in the 350Z section. But a quick response, your clutch has absolutely nothing to do with your brakes, unless someone did something to the brake master by mistake while doing the clutch. Also your car has abs so the brakes should never lock up unless you have a bad wheel speed sensor or control module. and the final possibility is crud in the lines, bleed the system completely.
