I know most of this topic has been beaten to death

I ordered another item that was called pad kit thinking it was the hardware.

It ended up being another set of pads

What is weird is that the pads are very similar

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From q45 Brakes</td></tr></table>

Green are the 93s and the black are the 90s (last numbers on the part number)

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From q45 Brakes</td></tr></table>

Green 41060-64u93

Black D1060-5p690

They were both listed under brake> pads on the infiniti website for 94

The Black D1060-5p690 said "kit" so I assumed it was the hardware kit should have checked first but didnt have time in my 81 hour week

Anyways I may have to buy the hardware kit at the stealership, just wondering what the other pads are for they are the same size just no sensor

The blacks seem to have more metal in them

Both will work, but if you need the electric wear sensor, keep that one and send the other ones back in exchange for the hardware kit, which is about $50 for some flimsy shims and cheap metal pad retainers, necessary but extremely overpriced for what it is.The pads have changed friction characteristics many times over the years with part numbers ending in 90-91-92-93- all will work, but 93 is the newest formulation for what its worth.

Sometime during the calendar year 1994 Infiniti stopped installing the electronic wear sensor warning system at the factory on Q45, and went to the old fashioned metal clip to alert driver pads were near end of life....why they offer both versions for the replacement parts market.

Thanks for the information. The 90 pads look like they have more metal in them. Maybe I will sell them on here, rather give someone a deal then pay return shipping and 20% restocking

Does the last digit of the 10 digit P/N tell what MY the part is made for for all Nissan/Infiniti parts or is it just a coincidence for the brake pads?

Just coincidence, as the rear pad numbers end in 85!

1994 part has electric wear sensor and 1995 part has the mechanical squeeler.
