Hello!

Last August I took title to a 2002 Q45 and I've slowly been taking care of the various maintenance items on the car.

I'm finally getting to bleeding the brakes and there are two procedures in the manual. The first procedure calls for a CONSULT-II to be used to activate the charging pump, but I can't find any inexpensive software for doing this. If someone has a recommendation for me, that would be great, because this method looks a lot easier than the other option.

The second method is rather poorly translated, so I was hoping that maybe someone has done this before and can verify that my understanding of what is written will not damage anything and will actually make the pump run.

That is confusing! I've never heard of anyone doing this before - although it is a very good idea to flush the brake lines.

I will probably do it next weekend. I'll post here how it goes. I'm envisioning sitting in the car flicking switches for an hour.

I forgot to come back here and update this. I couldn't figure out how to get the ABS pump to run, so I gave up and that part of the system wasn't bled. The procedure was otherwise very straightforward.
