I know some of you guys were following my other thread and I decided to buy the Z. Its a white 1991 TT, it needs a new engine though. I paid 1K for it but I felt it was a pretty good deal. Here is some of the info on whats done to the car:

HKS Intake, Polished intake manifold, 3” cat-back exhaust, high flow mufflers,
Greddy Profec Type-S boost controller, JWT performance programmed ECU,
Lowered 1 ¾ in, cross drilled rotors, JDM taillights and aftermarket rear spoiler.

Also some of the most recent services before the engine went.(Which was due to the previous owner turning the boost up too high)Car has 78500 miles on it. Let the fun begin

Services:
Clutch and flywheel (52K)
Replaced Shifter bushings and sleeve (55K)
60K service, new tires, timing belt, & water pump (60K)
Replaced cam sensor, hoses, 27 point inspection, brakes flushed, air filter, bulbs (62K)
New battery and oil/filter change (66K)
Oil change, 27 point inspection, pass window motor, pwr antenna (70K)
New water pump (73K)
New starter (75K)
New 149 mph tires (77K)
New brake pads all around (77K)

Very clean! I'd say definitely a good deal, even with a bad motor!!! Good luck with the project.

Looks like it was a FL car

The rear spoiler is a Kaminari, or a knock-off of one.

$1K is a steal. Get a good compression used USDM engine and you'll be in good shape. Welcome to the club!

Thanks guys, glad to be a part of the club! Yeah I felt I couldn't pass this deal up for 1k lol. I'll definitely keep you guys updated on the project.

I agree 100% lol I'm sure as soon as I get the Z running ill want nothing to do with the trans am end up selling it to put more stuff into the Z :chuckle:

The previous owner use to live in Florida, but goes to the same college as me in PA. I became friends with him when the Z was running and always saw it around campus. When the engine went he threw me the deal because he knew I loved Z32s and I jumped on it.

That's my plan to find a good USDM engine and swap it in. It's my senior year so once I graduate and start making some more money I plan on getting the old engine rebuilt, just trying to get her up and running for now. As far as the swap goes any information and tips you guys have would be greatly appreciated! My dad was a mechanic for about 20 years but got out of it about 15 years ago. So I have him to help me it's just he's never worked on one of these before so I'm just trying to see what to look out for and stuff like that.

Thanks again guys!

Nice looking Z. What are some of your plans for the Z to add your own touch?

Thanks guys, glad everyone likes it!! My plans to give it my own touch after I get it up and running as far as appearance are jpec front, some new wheels, and tint the windows probably because I love the white on black look lol. That's just some ideas as of now I'm sure my list will keep growing.

I was hoping some of you guys could give me some tips on the engine swap once I get the usdm. Me and my dad have never worked on one before so we want to do it ourselves so we can get to know the car.

Straight swap is pretty straight forward.

That's my engine pull and reinstall thread. The FSM for the Z32 can be found here. The 1990 is basically the same as the 1991:

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

I can point you to a specific engine pull write up if you need it, or just ask questions (in the technical forum) and I (and others) will answer them ASAP

Good deal. You will have fun. Engine not hard to pull as mine is on the engine stand right now. Decide what the purpose of the car will be and then built to suit.
