My friends call me James
I live in Houston anyone else???? :D I only know one dude that is into Z32's :(
About to start Junior year of College at UofH Biology pre-med student

Nissan > everything else

I went through many cars but then I saw the 300zx.... and it's potential.... :D
got into cars when i was around 17 I have many hobbies but messing with cars is definitely #1 even though I know diddly about them-ish Learn and go process

here are some pictures

I currently drive a 1996 200sx se-r been in my family since 1996 and still running strong the only thing i ever changed was the oil. and a Dodge Ram

Freshman year I found this beauty, I bought it for 4000. This thing was in pristine condition. 1997 240sx se manual with 82,000 miles on it original. Then I got into the Z32 scene I sold the 240sx for 7200
Image

My fist 300zx 1990 na manual 150k miles i bought for 2500. It looks good from behind but you wouldn't want to see the front. The bumper was red and the hood was a cream vanilla tan color haha with stripped rear interior. Other than that it ran very strong then sold it for 3000 + music equipment
Image

my second 300zx 1996 manual na xxxmiles bought for 3000 ran strong but something wrong with power steering soooooo, other than that everything was very good including the interior. sold it for 3700 because parts were a tad hard to find /:
Image

Then finally I got my Daily driver!!!!
Image
haha just kidding this is a picture I took at TX2k11, I'm a photographer so hit me!$$, if photos are needed :D

My Z currently 1992 TT manual with 150k miles.
When I first went to go check it out, found many problems with it. The main thing was the engine bay looked like s*** (looks like it was taken in and out 20 times) the wire harness was completely chopped up when I unplugged and plugged some stuff in the engine did not react and the connections were bad also. I couldn't tell if the connection was bad or when i did the test one of the cylinders had low compression. I drove it. It felt like my sister's honda accord a little weaker actually, and the clutch slips occasionally. Interior was a disaster, Wheels are not my cup of tea. The sir wanted 4500 for it. I left and then 30 minutes later he called me to come back and work out a deal. I came back and bought the car for 2500 :D with everything including some extra stuff ( he had to go to Mexico in 2 days). I drove it around for awhile and one of the turbos was locked so it felt like a regular v6/v5. Time for a build :D

And some other stuff I do on the side

me on the right. Hit me up if anyone JAMZ!!!!! :D

Soooooooooooooooooooooo. I was seeing if you guys could help me with a build list
my goals: hit 500whp realm I will be using e85 fuel primarily ( I got that situated) I just want a very fun streetable car (my budget is goood) but yes I am on a budget.

Here's a PIECE of my list right now

My Long Block will be similar to IPP's stage 3

SZ 3" exhaust
SZ 3" 5 bolt DP
SZ 3" test pipes
MSP manifold
Z1 oil cooler
Z1 58 mm TB
selin dual maf translator
JWT dual pop chargers
Ashspec massives intercooler
ash 2.5 IC piping
SZ coned expansion oulet pipes
2.5" inlet plumbing

z1 driveshaft

wire harness 1995
740cc nismo injectors orrrr ID injectors with BDE top feed 1000cc? hmmmm
300 degree rails
unorthodox UD and HI OD pulleys
Koyo radiator
and I stilll can't decide on the turbos!!!!!
I want to get sport 530s or 550s, I'm just waiting for someone to post a good deal on either in the classified section.

I got my electronics figured out I just pretty much have no idea on suspension. looking for extreme comfort. The previous owner pit some pretty nice "looking" coilovers but i dont know what they are yet havent pulled it out.

Any thoughts on my list? Feel free to suggest anything. ANYTHING!!!!! :D oh and could anyone link me to a post with all possible deletions? yes I have searched but it lead to the same 3. Thanks ohh and I didn't check for spelling errors and bad grhummar* so my bad. :)

hey, James.
nice build list, but for e85:
http://bde-performance.com/fuel.htm
i'm looking at this myself, not sure if 1000cc's or 1600cc's?
and with that build list, why not, gt675rs or jwt700bb turbos?

740cc should do. Dane and some other Z owners are in the 500whp range with 740cc injectors with stock IC piping and he is running a GMS 550 I think he said.

the turbos are a tough decision. jwt700 would be ideal but then i would have to get upgrade cams $$$$ and I hear that the 530s and the 550s are more of a tourqeish feelish ish ish ish haha like a V8 while the 700s are like a v6 turbo, but yes I do keep the jwt700 in mind if I see a good deal I will snatch it :D If I do end up getting the 700s it would cost about 2k more for performance parts and not only that I would have to get 1000cc or higher to use the 700s to its potential

Why the bde instead of the 300 degree?

for jwt700bb's, you don't have to get upgraded cams.
in fact, for upgraded cams, recent tunes have shown that you can trade-off some low-end and mid-range for high-end hp.

on jwt530bb's or jwt550bb's (which i have), you won't get 500-550rwhp+ on regular gas....on race gas, sure, ask Dane what he's running.
and i wouldn't run e85 on them, i don't know anybody who does.

i have 300d fuel rails, they're great, but not for e85.

hmm very good links. THANKS!

He is running stock IC GMS 550 with nismo 740cc getting around 500whp and so is his friends with 530s and 550s all of them on e85

Kyle at IPP said that without the upgraded cams I would be limited at 600whp.

I know for sure I wouldn't get 500whp on pump gas with 530's but I know I will with the 700's easily.
The thing is if I run 700s it's going to cost me more :( I never drove a car with 700's either D:

Do you know if the Injectors are very durable? reviews?

i've had three tuners, tell me that ID (injector dynamics) fuel injectors are "fantastic".
they're a little pricey, but worth it.

Cool I'll read up more on them, but seems good so far. There's a lot of people complaining about fitment on the bde, but as long as if it will eventually fit is cool :)

who's complained on fitment of the bde's?
there's no fitment issues, bde pretty much modifies your plenums, and sends them back to you.
the complaints about fitment are for the winfactory fuel rails.
specialtyz sells the bde's, they wouldn't sell them if they didn't work great:

haha thanks man!!

I have been breaking for about 3 years i kinda quit last year because of school :( but now I'm back into it. The first week hell yeah it hurt my head! After wards you get used to it then your neck starts hurting but then it gets stronger haha. I love doing headspins but i try not to do a lot. My friend that specializes in every head spin move has a little baldspot and he's only 19 haha. I learned from youtube!! then made bunch of good friends to practice with.

Welcome! Your build list looks pretty similar to mine/my wish list lol, so your power goals are higher. I want jwt 530's for better low-end power, but sport 700's with full "breather mods" have been shown to spool just as quickly as 530's.

Suspension will be kind of harsh no matter what. Stock suspension is probably the least harsh but find out if your coilovers are on the softest dampening setting. If you don't have them already, be sure to get upper control arms and tension rods to keep your camber in check.

As for the deletes, I followed twinturbo.info for all of mine.

P.S. Is your ram a 318 or 360? I had a 96 ram with the 360 motor and that thing was pretty ballsy, but only got 9mpg. Now I got a powerstroke and I'm getting 18mpg lol.

If I find a good deal on the 700s I will definitely pick it up, the only thing stopping me from getting the 700's is the extra performance parts needed to run them fully. (crossing my fingers) :D

Dang awesome link!!! definitely what I was looking for :D

My Ram is a 360 I believe filling it up makes me sad :( but having a truck is very useful I wish I had a smaller truck though.

No problem man.

Yea, those trucks are 100% guaranteed to leak air at the plenum belly pan..they used steel on aluminum. That's why mine only got 9mpg. Change that out if you haven't already and it'll help a lot.

Welcome to NICO man! Your plans sound legit. It's kind of funny... My first Z was a 1990 NA auto and my project Z is a 1992 TT manual too haha. One thing I would recommend looking at... Z1's GT675RS turbos instead of the JWT700. Virtually the same turbo, but I think the Z1 set flows a tad better. There is a bunch of info about this debate in this thread:
ok-so-my-motor-has-low-compression-acro ... 33-40.html

As for the deletes, I did all mine from these links:
http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/6901.html
http://www.ttxtz.com/tech.html

Suspension is going to be kind of tricky if you want a super comfy ride. Coilovers are generally going to be more stiff, yet perform better in the corners, than strut/spring combos. If lowering at all... look into camber/caster/toe correcting bits. The trusted brands are mainly PowerTrix, SPL, Tein, etc...

Good luck with the build man and keep us updated!! We love pics :gapteeth:

To piggyback on what Morgan said, the Powertrix coils are a lot "smoother" of a ride than most coils. Very little bounce to them. I'm running the Ultra Lites on my TT, and I absolutely love them.
