The biggest downside to ditching cable for Netflix is that I can't watch my favorite gearhead shows on the weekend. I've blown through Top Gear, Overhaulin', and American Muscle Car. And Netflix's recommendations are about as helpful as a poke in the eye. And their search function isn't particularly grand either.

What car shows does NICO watch on Netflix?

You may just want to watch shows on Youtube/ Streetfire such as:

Wheeler Dealers
Classic Car Rescue
Strippers: Cash for Cars
Chop Shop: London Garage

(I have Netflix Canada, which doesn't have Jack-all)

I buy the current seasons of Top Gear UK. Other than that, I've burned through most everything too. Some other shows worth watching though are American Pickers and Pawn Stars. Both of them feature cars fairly often. Mike Wolfe on American Pickers is a big VW guy and both him and Frank are big into classic motorcycles too.

American Pickers is terrible. I can't stand either of those guys, nor their trying-too-hard office manager. (I know, I know... I asked for suggestions and you offered them. That show manages to get on my nerves in a special way, though.)

I hadn't thought of just using Youtube. PS3's Youtube app linked to a tablet makes for some pretty decent couch viewing. No streetfire on the TV though.

I don't mind American Pickers. I wouldn't mind meeting Danielle. As far as car shows, you can add Chasing Classic Cars, and My Classic Car to the list. I don't have netflix but I do DVR the new episodes.

There is an epic motion picture named 200MPH on Netflix. Best movie ever made.

Chasing Classic Cars keeps popping up in my recommendations. I guess I'll give it a try. It sounds vaguely Wheeler-Dealer-ish except with less fixing up and more talking to people who love cars.

What about things like Ultimate Factories, and I think Factory Made and How Its Made have some decent car manufacturing specials. I think Ive even seen a Top 10 Fastest Cars type thing too.

From IMDB user,
1 star out of 10

Wish i could give it a lesser score... but unfortunately i have to give a whopping 1 for this shocking film.

calling an RX7 a MX5/MX7 which is totally a different car, the rx7 seems to some how magically transform into a s14, which repeats the same drift scene 500 billion times.

I think you might like it. Same basic premise as Wheeler Dealers except CCC deals with mostly high end exotics.

I know you asked for shows, but there are some decent car/racing movies on NetFlix. Check out Love the Beast by Eric Bana. And Faster (2003) and Fastest (2010?) are about motoGP. And Senna if you havent seen it.

I'm just getting into How It Made. That should last me a few months.

Dunno how I forgot about Love the Beast. I swear it was in my instant queue a while back, but it has disappeared.
Also, new season of Top Gear has appeared! Watching now. Ferrari FF...*makes drooling noises*

Movies are good, too.

And yeah, I'll run How It's Made for ambience.
