My buddy linked me to this one, funny but sad. Thread Link

You guys made suspense out of it. Or maybe Mark's post wasn't as clear but he didn't know the details either. I emailed him and Swanson Sat night to call off some plans for dyno tuning and I was so furious I said the car was fvcked but never explained exactly, so I can see how he could have drawn some worse conclusions. I didn't ask him to post it here either...doesn't matter.

I'll leave you with pics, starting from the front. The plan was to use mandrel, 2.5" dual, with 2 mufflers in the middle of the car and 2 pipes going back over each side of the diff. Sounded simple enough to me. Here's what I got.

Downpipe:

Front hanger:

2 straight pipes going alll the way back, under the SF. Slip fit into the muffler I brought them and asked to use, IF they can fit it in the middle. See what they did.
Image

Image

Yeah, tack-welded. Explanation: Pipes crack when fully welded around.

Muffler I brought them...they made it fit, alright....
Image

...by cutting up my S2 rear bumper without even asking or mentioning they had to/wanted to do it beforehand.

I love how the shop owner calls it "functional" but it's really not. The function of the exhaust is to make all of the noxious gasses exit at the back of the car, and the unwelded, unclamped pipes WILL leak exhaust fumes into the passenger cabin. It's ugly, it's wrong, it's unprofessional, and it's not functional. I can't believe the shop even put their name on those pics.

I don't think they did. The guy complaining did so that when he posts them, each one is like a big "f*** YOU" to the shop.

You may have a point there, sir. I stand corrected.

Man, if this shoddy work was given to one of our members, I could only imagine the barrage of phone calls, email, Google blasts, and general interruption of regular business in an effort to get them to straighten out their mess.

Man, that is some really rough work. Another reason why I don't trust shops to touch my car.

I "like"d them and posted a link to this thread on their wall.

I also posted "Yo dawg I heard you like chains, so we put CHAINS ON YOUR EXHAUST."

I expect I will receive the same treatment.

What I find strange about this video is that Kenya has rules in place that would stop him from flying? I thought you could pretty much do what you wanted there. :squint:

And it seems you can't post to their wall anymore.

I uploaded one of the chain pics and used '@HAVOC Motorsport' to link them in the post. Too bad I can't tag the pic to make it show up on their page.
