decided to make an actual build ISH type thread.mostly to just document everything and get opinions.if you dont wana hear about all this bs im typing for a basic history scroll down a bit..first off my names chris. im 16 and the 240 is my first car.i go to cyber school so im on nico all day while i do school work.thats how i found my car.zerothread?id=447676i bought the car for 2700 and trailered it home. it hadnt been driven in years. only up and down the block. it ran. not well. the bad: overboost. ecu cutoff engine at 5k rpm. bunch of other lil annoying things...rust holes under doors. under the car was covered in rust as well.the good: ca18det with a sr t25 turbo. full 3" exhaust. invidia perfect interior. i mean perfect. even the drivers seat bolster is good.vlsd. bunch of guages that wernt hooked up. new speakers (even tho had to rewire them) power everything except sunroof.i bought some konig wheels with new tires for cheap just to get it on some rubber. got some tokico blues and springs for 100 bucks cause the other suspenion was original and was leakin a bit. scrapped out and filled the rust hole and fixed some dents. and ripped out the antenna that was broken and filled that in too.it started to look alright.the day before i got my licsense me and my buddy took it to get inspected.my buddy's sisters boyfriend worked at pepboys so it got "inspected"more like.. "heres your stickers have a nice day"i took it to a high performance shop that my stepdad's friend owns and he and dynoed it for me. he said he tuned it but thats bs.. just put in a manuel boost controller.i made 205 whp and 200 torques. not bad for a 1.8 literi did lots of little stuff just to get it running well.i also reundercoated the wheel wells. and put in partial fender liners to protect against salt from winter.

sorry for all the boring stuff... but now it gets better.since now its driveable. its time to have some fun.this list will change alot..my plans are:

engine type stuff:full rebuild another long block with forged internals, some cams dont no whats yet, 550 injectors, rb valves, z32 maf, safc, chip ecu, fmic, t28?1 piece driveshaft

wheels/suspension/brakes:xxr 002. 16's 0 offset ????max coils (thanks to mr greeneyes for suggesting them)j30 front brakesdrilled/slotted rotorssteel linessomething else thats useful? help?

body:puttin the pignose back on. with lip180sx tailssome paint would be nice...

interior: kinda silly but i wana fit some evo 8 seats in there. they are so comfy.

as it sits right now..on jackstands. starter took a s***

but i got these babies at a junkyard dor 30 dolla took them apart and after 2 cans of brake cleaner and some paint there as good as new.as soon as i get pads and rotors there goin on this is the first step in a longggg relationship.

I saw you just ride with those wheels until you do a 5 lug swap and find some SE's to put on

Ugh it's times like these I wish I did cyber school/home school. Looks good man! You seem to have a good set of plans.

If you want some cheap wheels, look into a set of steelies. There was a thread about them the other day. I think they look f****** sweet.

car starts now! new starter... then battery.but now its back to its old tricks. over boost in second gear only. 5k rpm it dies. but every other gear is fine all the way to 8k.im stumped. boost gauge is always at 14-15 from 3.5k-7k. so i dont think could be spikes...help?edit: i say over boost cause thats wat it feels like. ecu cuts off like boost cut kicks in

That sounds pretty nice. If you don't mind me asking, how much does that cost a year.

Yeah, thats a great alternative if your schools are bad. Most of the people in my neighborhood are druggies, so that doesn't really bother me too much

i moved to amish land from philly. im used to it. just it was getting to the point that some of the teachers wer doin it to. so i was like. this schools gona get bad and have horrible gpas and stuff so then i wont get into college.. then no dealership for me to run. and no rally car for me.so.. i took. free everything, 1 hour of school a day. get to work nights to pay for a car that i can beat on. and while parents are at work i steal the garage and lay under the thing when its broke.

pics of snow tires and j30 brakes will be up soon.goin to put them on now

its called self respect/discipline; which i dont understand how your going to get from "cyber" school.
