A 300ZX ball joint will press right in....for far less than ordering and waiting for a new lower control arm.

EDIT: Assuming you have a 90 - 96 Q45 (since it wasn't mentioned)

Will the 300zx ball joint fit Y33 LCA's?

Which gen Q, and which ball joint are you looking for? Control arm, tie rod?

I bet they would...

Then that seals the deal, just use a 300ZX one. I had a brain fart anyway, you wouldnt need a new tie rod anyway!

what symptoms are you experiencing to make you want to replace your ball joints.

Symptom is a thud experienced when backing up car after it has been parked on a slght hill with the front end up higher than the rear. A mechanic finally felt it and at first thought it was a shifting break pad but because it didnt happen all the time the ball joints became a culprit because the mechanice who put new struts in for me said the ball joints had movement. This noise was there before the struts were put in. Also added 350Z upper control arms at the same time.

Part number? Could your typical alignment shop do the install? What effect do worn ball joints have on ride and handling? I've been told mine need replacing and my drivers side front strut squeaks when hitting dips in turns.

For a ball joint?

Doesn't exist in my FAST catalog, I'm assuming since ball joints aren't listed seperately you would have to replace "Link Compl-Transverse RH/LH & Arm Assy-Rear Suspension, RH/LH" to replace the ball joints.

Hence the reason why I use http://rockauto.com or http://partsamerica.com for ball joints.

Wes, UL? I'm assuming upper link? Both upper links and tension rods have recently been replaced w/new OEM parts.

BTW - is there any affect on ride quality and ride height if ball joints are worn out?

Clunking/clicking on expansion joints at high speeds and accelerated front inner tire wear.

Just like everything else on these suspensions that wears out it seems to wipe out the inners...
