Hello everyone. I haven't been on here in a long time but this is what I been working on in the last couple days.
For a quick description, I been working on axle spacer to prevent peoples axles from blowing. Those of you guys that run way low 240s know what I'm talking about. Your cv boots get stretched., Then they tear, and so on.

So here is a preview of whats to come.
Who's interested?

Pretty cool!

I know some pro race/drift cars run these, but mostly to adjust for a wider track width.

Here's one on a R32:

Yeah I seen this picture before. I didn't agree with the design because of the bolt length.

Impressive. Not being very low myself, I never even knew there was a new for such a thing...

I swear, what other car out there was the grassroots aftermarket developement scene that the 240 does?!

That doesn't bother me at all, that grip R32 will see far more loads then a drift S13.

Its always good to see development like this for the 240, I'm planning on running roll center correction mods in the front so I know about just DIY because you cant find something you like. GL.

How wide are you going to make it? My last coupe was SUPER low and I beat the hell out of it, but I never had a axle problem. I guess I need to go lower.

I was planning on going an 3/4 or19mm thick. But I might go 1inch.

If they are using the correct grade bolt, and its torqued to the correct setting i dont see how it would be any different using a 4" long bolt versus a 1" long bolt

With a long bolt design it would be more likely to start seeing issues in the future from being more able to bend the bolts. Plus why not over engineer it. It might not be a** easy to install but it will hold up for ever

But then you have double the amount of bolts holding it together, more chance of one loosening.

A grade 10+ metric bolt shouldn't have any fatigue issues if its not over stressed. As in the spacer takes the torque load not the bolt.

Not bad as long as they are ring centric. As for hardware, you can get grade 12

I agree,. static friction between the mating surfaces is what holds the part together.

I'm planing on grade 8. I was going to go 12.9 but there might be issues with brittleness.

I might do a redesign.

As far as being centric, these fill definitely have a nice tight fit. Honestly, I cant see how some things make it to the market with how low quality is sometimes. If it doesn't work like it should then I wont put it on the market.

So right now the parts are being manually machined. Later we'll progam the cnc and machine them with that.

Actually manually machining can be more perfect than CNC. Buti takes waaaay longer.

You can get a socket in the holes right? Looks tight but maybe its just the pic.

The fitment is better than stock with these. The axle slides into the spacer with a a nice solid and doesn't move with out bolts.

The parts have been test fitted in to the test axle. Fitment is perfectly snug better than stock ready to rock. A little tight and you might need a rubber mallet to tap it in. Right now I can stick the axle in and it holds it self in. These tighter clearances is one more thing that will ensure strength and reliability.
Clearances have been taken into consideration for bolts and sockets and fitment.
These are a 19mm / 3/4" spread with the added fastener ready to go.

$150 out the door.

I'll be at the Thunder Hill the 16th. Let me know if your going to be there or in the area if your interested. It would be better than shipping.

Are you still making these?

You should post up your work on the zilvia roll center thread in tech section I'm sure there would be ppl intersted.

Also in my case, i have an s13 with s15 hlsd and axles. Would this work for me? How much of a spacer is this btw? How much does it space out whole track?
